Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most prevalent neurodevelopmental
disorders affecting children and adults worldwide. Characterized by persistent patterns of inattention,
hyperactivity, and impulsivity, ADHD significantly impacts academic performance, occupational
functioning, and interpersonal relationships. Despite being first described clinically in the late 19th
century, our understanding of ADHD has evolved dramatically through advances in neuroimaging,
genetics, and clinical research.
